COVE ENTRANCE

Halt, who goes there? Ah, another stranger come to claim the drake's treasure no doubt? Well then, know that you enter at your own risk friend and good luck to you...may you find whatever it is you are looking for.

After a long and arduous journey you have finally found it. A crack splits the barren rocks high up here in the snowy mountains, and you realise that this must be the entrance to the hidden cave the locals spoke of. Determined, you step through, pebbles crunching under your leather soles, echoing loudly in the dark and damp tunnel. You push aside thick cobwebs and continue the narrow trail downwards, deeper and deeper into the face of mountain. Gradually, the air begins to get warmer and you relieve yourself of your cloak. You notice all the while that the darkness is slowly disintegrating into a glowing fiery red light as the tunnel widens out. All of a sudden you stop, ghasping. Spread out infront of you as far as the eye can see is a vast cavernous space. And in it throngs and hordes of glittering treasure; jewels, coins, golden chains, shining armour, crowns and swords alike - all throwing clolourful dancing shadows and blinding reflections from wall to wall like a mirriad bazaar of wonders... And on top of it all sits an enormous crimson dragon looking right through you with poisonous yellow eyes. Grey smoke billows from his nostrils and he opens his mouth, speaking to you in a deep and rough voice.

'Welcome traveller. Dont't be afraid, I won't harm you. I see you have found my cove of treasures, yet many before you have mastered this feat. Not many of those ever left here though. Let me warn you, friend, beyond this room of prizes lay much greater treasures in the caverns and tunnels beyond. But be careful, if you should lay hands on any of it with the wrong intentions then I shall take no issues in having you for breakfast. I should also warn you that many dangers lurk down here, so don't be fooled by the Creator's malign sense of humour. Now feel free to explore keen adventurer: beyond the COVE ENTRANCE (home) lies the CREATOR'S LAIR (about), DRAKE'S LIBRARY (files), the HALL OF ECHOES (board) and the PORTAL ROOM (@). You may also ask me question any time you wish (faq). Make haste!'
